Back in Time - My Love for Cabo....
Cabo is Booming!
Sometimes I need to remember why Teena and I came here 11 years ago. The first resort destination in Los Cabos was Rancho Buena Vista, and the history of this special old hotel resort is something to experience close-up.
There is a TV in the old palaba bar, and no telephones at bedside. Just relax and breathe in the real Cabo experience treasured by Hollywood stars, U.S. Presidents, and famous sports personalities of yesteryear.
When I was first living in the "real" East Cape on Bahia Las Palmas a couple of years ago, I stayed in the original old house built and occupied by Mark Walters' grandfather, "Colonel" Walters, who owned the hotel in its early days. That original suite, and the building in which it is contained, is now occupied by the current developers of La Capilla and the ranch itself.
A dozen or so of the hotel rooms have also been recently renovated and offer an experience that any guest will treasure for years. If you live in Los Cabos or La Paz, try a week-end getaway with a loved one or family. And, always an option this time of year, take a week-end with your favorite fishing friends and experience the best fishing in Mexico.
